Education Tech • Digital Content Website • Learning Management System
Education & Skills Training (QUEST) Alliance is a social venture that works towards creating powerful learning experiences for marginalised children and youth, to help them realise their full potential. With their app, they aim to impart 21st century skills to learners making them more confident, adaptable and more productive.
We needed to make QUEST easier for users to navigate. It needed to inspire and motivate thorough interactivity. We decided to follow through with a product that would help users go beyond learning and have a real shot at joining in on the movement.
Every achievement is highlighted up front. This makes the homepage motivate users to earn more badges and score more points. It also keeps the learner updated of her/his/their most recent activity to provide ease of picking off where they left.
Since the users had a low-tech exposure, we made it so it wasn’t necessary to remember everything a page provided. Revisiting a walkthrough eased the cognitive load.
We also introduced a choice of languages for diverse users, to remove limitations of the same.
Community platforms can be intimidating. To give users the confidence to voice and express their concerns without fear, we provided an option to engage with the community as an ‘anonymous’ person while asking queries.
The product allowed trainers to keep a close eye on every student’s progress and review scores as and when it was required. The trainer module was similar to that of the students; additionally giving the trainer a chance to learn too.

Easy on the eyes, Easy to navigate
We also used a simple illustrative approach to make the app less complicated. Adding badges and iconography helped keep the app lively and engaging.
The graphics represent the different instances that are specific to the particular section or subject, for example:
1. Community
2. Subjects (Digital Skills)
3. Homepage (collaboration), etc.
